Bra straps story

There  is a long time that I do not write anything. But today I find a very interested story about the bra straps in a forum. So I copy it to my blog.  Hope you will like it.

My first costume I made, I used one strap that came with the convertible bra and covered it with a strand of stretch sequins and used it as a halter top and it works great!

this next costume, the bra is so much heavier. I don’t want to make it a halter top because I think it would make me uncomfortable due to it’s weight. I’m thinking about a cross-back. however, I don’t know if I can use elastic because since it’s so heavy it stretches it out and the bra falls a little and makes my torso look shorter (NOOOOOO) and also doesn’t give me boobage support.

What should I do? I saw something on another thread about grosgrain but i don’t know how to…do it? I guess? Ha-ha

Well, non-stretchy straps always give more support. On Cairo costumes they are often made from some sort of non-stretch cottony fabric in the same colors as the rest of the costume.
Or you could use a grosgrain ribbon as the base and cover that in the fabric used for the rest of the cossie. You’ll prob wanna put sequins and stuff on there too but the fabric will still show through most likely. You can still use strands of stretch sequins I guess and stitch them directly onto the grosgrain/cotton.
The good thing about making your own straps is that you can make them as wide as you like (and as long as you like!) to accommodate larger boobies’

10. Another best way to clean sterling silver jewelry with homemade products is to clean it with toothbrush and toothpaste. Rinse it with clean water and dry them.
